Your Ultimate Guide to Living Your Best Life

Everyone just wants to be happy – isn’t that what we all strive for? Sure, many people equate money with happiness, lust with happiness, and so forth, but the reality is that happiness is a complex, subjective experience that involves the mind, body, and spirit. More specifically, the authors of the book defined flow as, “a state of concentration so focused that it amounts to absolute absorption in an activity.” They state that flow is the closest thing to happiness, and it makes sense. When we’re in a healthy state of absorption, we’re not focused on anything else but the here and now. But how do we get there? In order to live your best life, you must hone in on the things that restore, strengthen, and challenge your mind and body, while making your spirit soar.

Mindfulness and meditation are amazing practices to help train the mind, but much of living our best life means doing what we know what should be doing but don’t always do, such as:

  • Eating more nutritious food
  • Getting adequate exercise each week
  • Getting plenty of sleep
  • Seeking help for mental illness/physical conditions when it’s needed
  • Maintaining health through routine checkups
  • Connecting with others in meaningful ways
  • Contributing to our community, and more
